The This Morning star went missing in the Greek island of Symi on Wednesday and today it was announced that a body and umbrella were discovered in a rocky area beside Agia Marina after an extensive search operation.

While the body has yet to be formally identified, a police spokesperson said there was "no question" it was Dr Michael - who was last seen in CCTV footage carrying an umbrella. Konstantina Dimoglou told The Sun : "We have been able to identify him from his watch and clothes. "He was found close to a cave on a rocky beach.

How long he had survived there is hard to tell but he had walked a very long way. He was close to where he wanted to get to." A bar owner and British journalists investigating the story were the first to see the body found during the search for Dr Michael, 67.

It was discovered beneath a fence that runs around the bar on Agia Marina beach, about 90 metres inland from the coas.
