has spent years bringing the supernatural and the deranged to the big screen, and now Blumhouse Games is bringing that ethos to the gaming sphere. The company revealed six horror-themed on Friday that are set to debut later in 2024 and beyond. Created in partnership with independent designers from across the globe, the games were announced during Blumhouse Games’ presentation at the Summer Game Fest from the YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park.
As part of the presentation, the team for Blumhouse Games, which launched last year, debuted a trailer for the forthcoming projects that can be seen below. Summer Game Fest features more than 55 top game companies and partners celebrating the future of the space in front of a live audience. “We’re blown away by the teams who are creating our first slate of games, and truly couldn’t be more proud to partner with strong, independent game creators who are bringing unique ideas to the horror genre,” Blumhouse Games president Zach Wood said in a statement.
“Our upcoming titles represent standout storytelling, inventive play styles, and fresh approaches to scary stories, created by game developers who are deeply passionate about horror.” Blumhouse founder and CEO added that the gaming division feels like a return to the company’s roots. “But this time fans can get in on the action, and immerse themselves in the Blumhouse world,” Blum continued.
