BGT: Contestant Leightonjay Halliday is dances in water Britain's Got Talent returned on Sunday evening (May 26) for the final auditions before the live semi-finals begin. But during the latest instalment of the ITV show some fans were left feeling "short-changed". Ant and Dec will host the week-long BGT semi-finals from Monday, May 27 until Friday, May 31 with every live show set to air from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

The winner will be crowned in the BGT final on June 2 and will bag a place to show off their talent at the Royal Variety Performance plus they will take home a cash prize of £250,000. Hoping to impress the judges during Sunday's episode was Leightonjay Halliday. The 23-year-old dancer from Douglas, Scotland, auditioned in Manchester and had a very sweet reason for wanting to take part in the competition.



Bruno Tonioli asked Leightonjay what made him decide to go on the ITV show, and he replied: "My main goal is to inspire younger dancers to never give up." Read more..

Bruno spurred the dancer on and reassured him that all the judges, including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden , and Alesha Dixon were supporting him.
