Silent Witness: Jack proposes to Nikki Silent Witness fans were sent into a frenzy earlier this year when Jack Hodgson (played by David Caves) asked Dr Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) to marry him. With the duo’s romance dominating the latest series, fans are eager to see their relationship develop. Although with a string of popular shows being axed by the BBC, including Motherland, Doctors and Bloodlands, viewers were fearful the beloved drama would be next.
However, there’s good news for fans as the broadcaster has quietly confirmed its future. At the start of May, the BBC Midlands press office revealed they were looking for people to join the production crew for the next series. Tweeting a behind-the-scenes image from an episode of Silent Witness, they told people more information about the opportunities available.
They wrote: “Join the @bbcstudios team for Silent Witness' next series! This is a chance for West Mid talent to spend time on the current series (filming in London) ahead of the show moving to Brum later this year.” Although applications are now closed, the show was looking for two junior production managers for a six-week fixed-term contract in London. They were also looking to hire two Junior Assistant Coordinators.
