The Great British Sewing Bee contestants start to panic BBC 's hit show, The Great British Sewing Bee had fans breathing out a "sigh of relief" after contestant Suzy was sadly sent home before next week's epic final. During Wednesday's penultimate episode (July 17), the final four contestants were set three challenges inspired by design icons. Firstly, the sewers were tasked with recreating a dress inspired by master pattern cutter Cristobal Balenciaga in the Pattern Challenge.
Next up, in the transformation challenge, the foursome was given a pile of neckties and asked to create a new garment, taking inspiration from the iconic Jean Paul Gaultier. And in the made-to-measure challenge, Coco Chanel was the focus as the sewers had the opportunity to delve into her extensive career to find a style that inspires an outfit.
