Strictly: Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin perform Argentine Tango Strictly Come Dancing viewers are gearing up for the release of the 2024 lineup and as the anticipation grows, the rumoured celebs continue to come to light. The latest, as named by The Daily Record, is former Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr. As a member of a street dance troupe, Tom comes with previous experience, which led fans to discuss whether they would vote for participants who could already dance.
Many have said they would prefer the show to include 'ringers', or celebrities who have previously danced in some capacity. The BBC hit show has already included the likes of musical theatre star Layton Williams, West End actor Nigel Harman and veteran dance star Angela Rippon. Some viewers have previously labelled the show a "fix" as the more experienced participants shone through.
GinghamandFlorals wrote on the Strictly Reddit forum, addressing the rumours about Tom: "I don't know how likely this is, but it got me thinking whether 'ringers' have too much of an (unfair?) advantage on Strictly? Tom has a dance background, with the emphasis on street dance(he's a member of a dance crew) but he also does ballet and tap dance. "So, should ringers be allowed to take part? I know he won't be considered a 'real' celeb by many, but I don't really mind that - I'm more interested in whether I find them engaging or not when they're on the show."
