Michael Mosley's BBC colleague and friend has shared her final moments with the TV and radio presenter. Professor Alice Roberts took to X, formerly known as Twitter , to pay tribute to her friend after it was revealed that Michael's body had been discovered following days of searches on the Greek island of Symi. Broadcaster Alice had previously worked with Michael on the BBC show The Incredible Human Journey.

Alice wrote: "The fragility of life is so shocking. I’ve known Michael Mosley for many years - as a TV producer specialising in science and medicine. He was the executive producer of my 2009 series Human Journey.



"When he started presenting as well as producing, we made several science programmes together. And we met up at Hay Festival just 2 weeks ago. I can’t believe he’s gone.

" (sic) "My thoughts are with his bereaved family," she concluded. In an earlier post, Alice said: "Extremely sad news from the Greek island of Symi where it seems the body of Michael Mosley has been found, after 5 days of searching for him. My heart goes out to his family.

" The 67-year-old doctor – who was known for his appearances on The One Show and This Morning – was reported as missing by his wife on Wednesday after he set off on a walk from Agios Nikolaos beach. Michael's wife Dr Clare Bailey Mosley confirmed the death of her "wonderful, funny kind and brilliant husband" in a statement on Sunday.
