BBC One has been slammed for its scheduling choices as it coincides with two of the year's major sporting events taking place on the same day. Disgruntled sports enthusiasts have voiced their displeasure upon discovering that, despite the significance of the events, the channel seems to have stuck to its usual programming lineup. The much-loved BBC's Countryfile , typically broadcast later on Sunday evenings, was moved to an earlier slot at 5.

10pm. But the significant schedule reshuffle didn't appease all viewers, with some left bewildered that Countryfile would be shown on BBC One during one of British sport's most important finals. And later this evening at 8pm, the England football squad will face off against Spain in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin. In spite of these colossal sporting clashes, Countryfile was still broadcast on BBC One until the BBC News interlude at 6.10pm, which will then make way for Match of the Day Live at 6.

30pm. Meanwhile, Wimbledon 2024 is being relegated to BBC Two. Frustrated fans took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter , to vent about the broadcasting choices.
