The BBC had to cut out part of the Willoughby trial sentencing (Image: BBC) Part of Mr Justice Edward Murray's sentencing of Gavin Plumb at Chelmsford Crown Court this afternoon had to be cut from a live broadcast as details emerged about the security guard's plan to murder, rape and kidnap former This Morning star Holly Willoughby . The Essex security guard has been handed a life sentence with a minimum prison term of 15 years and 85 days, the court heard. The judge said Plumb was "dangerous" and stressed the minimum term is how much he'll serve until he's eligible for parole - and this is not a guaranteed release.
While detailing how Plumb shared his kidnapping plans with another man called Marc on an online chat forum, the judge said the messages were so "horrifying, shocking and graphic" that they were not read out in court. The judge's sentencing was streamed live on the BBC , but the channel was forced to cut out a section of the court session for legal reasons. Instead of showing the judge delivering his sentencing remarks, a court drawing of Plumb sitting in the dock was shown to viewers who were tuned in.
