Josephine Jobert shared a snap which left her Instagram followers concerned. The French actress and singer rose to prominence on BBC One after starring in Death in Paradise as DS Florence Cassell, alongside Kris Marshall and Ralf Little , making her first appearance in the series in 2015. After making another return to the police drama earlier this year, just as Ralf was waving the show goodbye for another star to take his place, Josephine sparked fear her health could be in jeopardy this Wednesday, July 10.
Taking to her Instagram story, Josephine shared a photo from a hospital bed, wearing a pulse oximeter, a device used to measure blood oxygen levels. The snap was enough to for some fans to be worried while others believed there was more to the picture than met the eye, particularly as Josephine reprised her normal social media activity soon after. Back in May, 2024, Josephine teased the upcoming police series Saint-Pierre in which she stars alongside Allan Hawco.
One month later, however, the pair of actors had wrapped up filming for a well-deserved break until September, as Josephine announced through another post on social media. Josephine left Death In Paradise for the first time in 2019, before returning in 2022 and 2024, just in time for her character to realise she harboured feelings for Ralf's Neville Parker. While a string of familiar faces were tipped to replace the fan-favourite, including Inbetweeners star Simon Bird , Don Gilet was eventually announced to take.
