BBC Breakfast: England fans call for more attacking football It looked as though BBC Breakfast viewers were less than impressed on Sunday Morning. As the England team prepared for their first knockout match at the Euros , football coverage seemed to dominate the BBC show. Touching on the games that the team have had so far, presenter Ben Boulo said: “Their performances have been criticised so far, but manager Gareth Southgate says he is certain that fans will be right behind the team as they take on Slovakia.

” As sports correspondent Andy Swiss touched on the Euros, with footage from the previous games and fans being seen on screen, he reflected on the negative reaction that Gareth Southgate got from the crowd on Tuesday evening. In a voiceover, he said: “Southgate was booed and jeered by some fans after England’s lacklustre win over Slovenia on Tuesday. But he says the support for his players is what counts.

However, as the final results of the match were 0-0, many viewers were less than impressed with the BBC host claiming England had won the game.
