Internal Medicine Associates in Auburn has placed in the top 7% of a ranking of primary medical groups in upstate New York. The 77 Nelson St. practice placed 18th out of 240 in the ranking, part of the United Healthcare 2023 Value-Based Medicare Advantage and Medical Condition Assessment Incentive programs.
The core values of the rankings are collaboration, education and evaluation to support healthier lives for patients, Internal Medicine Associates said in a news release. The programs require practices to meet or exceed high-quality compliance targets in dozens of measures, including preventative screenings, chronic disease management, medication adherence, patient experience and more. Serving Auburn since 1975, the practice includes four medical doctors, five nurse practitioners and more than 40 support staff, serving more than 14,000 patients and accepting new ones.
