Mumbai is considered the city of dreams in India. But it is also one of the biggest hubs for all kinds of scams especially related to the Hindi film industry we fondly call Bollywood. Recently, an aspiring producer from Goregaon reportedly got scammed by a man who promised to introduce her to Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan.

As per a report from Times Of India, the complainant, identified as Aishwarya Sharma, wanted to make a film with Kartik Aaryan titled Love In London. The budget of the movie was Rs 1 crore. She befriended a man named Krishna Sharma (29) who promised an introduction with Kartik Aaryan for Rs 82.



75 lakhs. ''Sharma then claimed that he is familiar with many Bollywood actors and lured her into investing in a film as a producer to produce the movie Love In London casting Kartik Aaryan in the lead role,'' The Amboli police officer stated. The man collected the money from Sharma From April 2022 to July 2023 in installments all while promising to set up a meeting.

However, he kept stalling the arrangement due to which Sharma got suspicious. ''He did not arrange the meet with the actor and siphoned off the money and vanished when I started demanding the money back,'' Sharma stated in her complaint. Amboli police arrested the fraudster.

He also reportedly has six similar cases registered against him. He is currently in judicial custody. ALSO SEE: Cover Image: Sourced.
