: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu assumed charge at the CM’s Chamber in the first block of the state Secretariat at Velagapudi on Thursday. Taking charge at the auspicious muhurat 4.41 pm, the Chief Minister put signatures on five files, all relating to promises he gave the people during the election campaign.

The first signature was on the Mega DSC file, the second on repeal of the Land Titling Act, the third for increase of social security pension to Rs 4,000 from the present Rs 3,000, the fourth sign being to restart the Anna canteens and fifth signature on the process of skill censuses. Chief secretary Neerabh Prasad, ministers K. Atchannaidu, Kollu Ravindra, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Payyavula Keshav and others were present.



As Naidu arrived at the secretariat as CM, he was warmly welcomed by senior officials and leaders of employees. To start with, the CM signed the mega DSC file for filling of 16,347teacher posts. The category-wise details of posts are: SGT 6,371 posts, PET 132 posts, school assistants 7725 posts, TGT 1781 posts, PGT 286 posts and principals 52 posts.

The CM reviewed the status of DSC 2024. Officials explained to him that, under the Department of School Education, there are 61,755 institutions, including government-managed and private, with a total enrolment of 81,59,400 students. The DSC notification, which was issued on February 12, 2024, carried 6,100 vacancies.

These vacancies attracted registrations from 4,72,487 candidates. The earlier governmen.
