BRITAIN'S Got Talent fans have been left fuming after the first of this year's finalists were announced. Viewers had been treated to eight auditions on Monday evening during the first live semi-final show of the week. But some were unhappy with the result.
The rules see one act sail through to the live final on the public vote, while another is given a pass to the final by the judges. On Monday night, 'musician' Sven Smith, dog performers The Trickstars, child street dancer Trey Braine and slapstick act Bikoon! all took to the stage. They were joined by Ukrainian roller-skaters Duo Stardust, opera singer Innocent Masuku, singer Taryn Charles and the Ssaulabi Taekwondo Troupe.
Innocent Masuku, Trickstars and Ssaulabi all made it to the top three after the vote was opened to the public. South African hopeful Innocent Masukuk was crowned the winner of the night based on the votes received, while the judges unanimously put through Ssaulabi to Sunday night's final. Dog act Trickstars were sent home.
But not all viewers were impressed with the outcome, as they had wanted London-born singer and music teacher Taryn to get through. Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter , one raged: "Erm Taryn was robbed!" Another added: "I'm shocked Taryn didn't make top 3." And a third blasted: "What? Those bloody dogs over Taryn?" There was also outrage that child star Trey Braine didn't get a place in Sunday night's live final either.
