Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly made a significant real estate investment by purchasing three office units in Mumbai. These new office spaces are located in the Veer Savarkar Signature building in Andheri West, a popular spot for other celebrities like Kajol, Sara Ali Khan, and Kartik Aaryan, who also own commercial spaces there. According to documents accessed by FloorTap.
com, Amitabh spent a hefty Rs 59.58 crore on these three office units, which collectively cover an area of 8,429 square feet. The purchase also includes three car parking slots.
Reports indicate that the transaction was completed with an initial payment of Rs 3.57 crore. Amitabh has yet to publicly comment on this acquisition.
This isn't Amitabh Bachchan's first foray into commercial real estate. He already owns four office spaces in the Signature Building, which he leased out last year. These spaces are rented out for an annual sum of Rs 2.
07 crore, with a security deposit of Rs 1.03 crore. Despite the attention, Amitabh has remained silent about these reports.
Interestingly, this purchase follows closely on the heels of his son Abhishek Bachchan's recent acquisition of six apartments in Borivali. According to MoneyControl, Abhishek bought these units in the Oberoi Sky City project by Oberoi Realty. The apartments span a total of 4,894 square feet and were purchased at a rate of Rs 31,498 per square foot, with the sale agreement finalized on May 5, 2024.
