Former is set to be honored in a will have a tribute design printed in a special nod to him - but his face and of course his famous mustache won't feature on the design. Instead, the special edition release will be formatted just like a clue from the popular quiz show. The offering will be printed in blue and white and reads: “This naturalized U.

S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons.” Customers who purchase the stamp will then be able to turn it upside and see the correct answer which reads: “Who is Alex Trebek?” The tribute has been seen as fitting due to the fact that current Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings previously shared in a TIME magazine tribute to Alex that he would always have thought as the star of the show as the game itself and not him.

The stamps can be purchased in sheets of 20. Each sheet is designed to resemble the Jeopardy! game board and has the categories Entertainment, Game Show Hosts, Famous Alexes, and Forever Stamps detailed above each of the stamps and then to the left of the grid features a picture of Alex. The set was designed by USPS art director Antonio Alcalá, who used photography provided by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and hand lettering from Marti Davila.

Ken unveiled details of the USPS tribute during the June 21 episode of the show. He introduced a Jeopardy! round titled Icons On Stamps as he led into teasing the epic new release to viewers of the show. Customers can now pre-order the Alex Trebek stamps on USPS.
