Alex Brooker jokes James Martin's lasagne is 'alright' James Martin was forced to shrug off his guest Alex Brooker's critique of his lasagne this morning. The 51-year-old's hit ITV show James Martin's Saturday Morning promptly returned to screens this weekend for a Soccer Aid special as he welcomed a series of guests on the show including Alex Brooker and Tom Allen and chefs Nieves Barragan and Lenny Carr-Roberts. James invited journalist Alex on for the second segment of the show, as the 40-year-old opened up about his journey into he industry while James rustled up a tasty homemade lasagne .

"This is my version of a lasagne hopefully it is as good as yours," James declared as he dished Alex up a healthy portion of the classic Italian dish. " I'll let you dive into it first and you tell me what you think," James said as he eagerly awaited Alex's review . "Does it match yours?" he asked as The Last Leg host took a bite.
