The date May 26 was Trinity Sunday, an opportunity to reflect on our Triune God. I am not a theologian so I asked “Pastor Google” for a short summary of the Christian understanding of the Trinity: “The Christian concept of the Trinity refers to the belief in one God who exists as three distinct but inseparable persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. The doctrine holds that these three persons are of the same substance, co-equal, and co-eternal, yet each has distinct roles and functions within the Godhead.

“The Father is often seen as the creator and sustainer of the universe, “the Son as the incarnation of God who came to earth to save humanity, “and the Holy Spirit as the presence of God that dwells within believers and empowers them. “The Trinity is a central doctrine in Christianity and is essential to understanding the nature of God as revealed in the Bible.” There are verses in the Bible to support this, Matthew 3:16–17 for example: “And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “‘he is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.
