New Delhi : The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival is going on in full swing with who’s who of global film industry in attendance at French Riviera. This year, India is shining at the global stage with 9 powerful films being screened at the Cannes.
We have All We Imagine As Light , which became the first Indian title to compete with the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top category in 30 years. Apart from this, Assamese producer’s Hindi film Kooki, The Shameless by Konstantin Bojanov, and other 6 Indian films were screened at the Cannes Film Festival. All We Imagine As Light by Payal Kapadia Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light is set in Mumbai and centres around Pratibha, a nurse whose life is disrupted when she receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband.
Kooki by Junmoni Devi Khaund Assamese producer Dr Junmoni Devi Khaund’s Hindi film Kooki , made in Assam, was also screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. After the screening, Ritisha Khaund’s acting was praised by the audience. The Shameless by Konstantin Bojanov Directed by Konstantin Bojanov, the romance thriller The Shameless has been selected in the Un Certain Regard category.
