50 Cent featured Donald Trump’s face on the iconic cover of his album after the former president’s assassination attempt. While crooning the song Many Men from his 2003 debut album in Boston, the rapper displayed the edited image. Trump’s face was photoshopped onto 50 Cent’s shirtless, chiseled body positioned behind glass that looked as if it was shattered by a bullet.
For the unversed, the song refers to 50 Cent’s own deadly experience when he was shot nine times in Queens, NY, in 2000. And it came across as a nod to the recent shooting at the former president’s campaign rally. “Many men wish death upon me / Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can’t see / I’m tryin’ to be what I’m destined to be,” the lyrics read.
The rapper also posted a picture of the viral cover with a caption that read, “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending .” The former president was almost killed during a rally in Butler, Pa., when the 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, shot at least five to seven bullets with an AR-style rifle.
Crooks, 20, was killed by Secret Service snipers after he shot the former president. In 2022, the suspect had graduated from Bethel Park High School. Jason Kohler, Crooks’ former classmate, had told KDKA that the suspect was “relentlessly” bullied.
Crooks was often seen in “hunting” outfits in class..
