Audi has priced its updated Q8 and SQ8 SUVs for Australia, which have received a minor cosmetic update. The updated SQ8 is arriving at dealerships now, with the Q8 range arriving “within the coming months”. Audi says the updated RS Q8 is coming to Australia, but has only confirmed it will arrive “at a later model introduction date”.
As before, Audi is offering the Q8 with a choice of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains, while the SQ8 is petrol-only. There are no mechanical changes with this update. Q8 models get a redesigned grille and air intakes and new matrix LED headlights, as well as a new light strip across the tailgate and a revised diffuser.
The Q8 features Audi’s new, flatter logo plus the model designation etched on the B-pillar, design elements already rolled out to the Q8 e-tron electric SUV range. The SQ8 continues to feature unique, sportier design elements, with a more aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes, as well as quad exhaust outlets down back. Newly optional are Audi laser light daytime running lights and digital OLED tail lights.
Inside, there are new materials and finishes, but the overall design is essentially unchanged. The Q8 was first revealed in 2018 and launched locally in 2019, slotting above the more practical, three-row Q7 . All prices exclude on-road costs.
All Q8 and SQ8 models are all-wheel drive and use an eight-speed automatic transmission. All Audi Q8 and SQ8 models are backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilome.
