Sonia Krueger could join an elite group of Australian television royalty at this year’s Logies celebration — the first star to win back-to-back Gold Logies in more than a decade. After nominations were announced at a ceremony in Sydney on Sunday, Krueger, the reigning Gold Logie recipient, was shortlisted for the highest prize in national television for a third year in a row. Spearheading Seven’s staples such as Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother and The Voice, Krueger’s path to a second Gold will see her come up against Seven colleague and Morning Show presenter Larry Emdur.

After more than three decades on Australian television, including as the face of The Price is Right, Emdur was nominated for the top prize for the first time. Others vying for Gold include Robert Irwin, Julie Morris, actor Asher Keddie, comedian Andy Lee and ABC broadcaster Tony Armstrong.



Perth-raised Home and Away star Tristan Gorey has been nominated for the prestigious Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent. Gorey, who attended WAAPA before joining the Summer Bay cast, comes up against two stars from Netflix’s Boy Swallows Universe — 14-year-old Felix Cameron and Lee Tiger Halley. Rob Collins, one of the lead stars of Seven’s drama RFDS, has been nominated twice for Best Lead Actor in a Drama, along with his role on ABC’s Total Control.
