The GWM Tank 300 is essentially unchanged for 2024, apart from some minor price adjustments. Pricing of petrol Tank 300 models has been increased by $1000 according to GWM’s website, with the range now opening at $47,990 drive-away. No other changes appear visible on GWM’s website.

This sees the range top out at $58,990 drive-away for the Ultra Hybrid, instead of $60,990 drive-away as usual. GWM has sold 1811 examples of the Tank 300 to the end of May. It has little in the way of direct competition – it doesn’t have a third row of seats like the Mahindra Scorpio and offers a lot more safety equipment, while it’s smaller than the likes of the Ford Everest and more affordable than the Jeep Wrangler.
Sales have been strong, and it’s currently outselling other larger SUVs like the Hyundai Palisade , LDV D90 , and Toyota Fortuner. All models have a Crawl Mode and Turning Assist features. GWM doesn’t quote a boot capacity figure.
The 2024 GWM Tank 300 is backed by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty and five years of roadside assistance. After the first service at 12 months or 10,000km, services are required every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first.
