Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the Hindi movie led by Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta is all set to hit the big screen once again. The makers are celebrating 20 years of the film by re-releasing it this weekend June 21, 2024. The film was set against the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War and revolved around an aimless young man Karan Shergill, who joins the Indian Army and matures into a battlefield hero.

Both Hrithik and Farhan shared the re-release announcement of the film on X and on Instagram. Hrithik also shared clips from the film and said, "Come, relive the journey of a film that ignited countless dreams and inspired generations. Celebrating 20 years of Lakshya, back in cinemas on 21st June" In another video, the actor opened up about working on the film two decades ago and also revealed how Farhan introduced a new way of filmmaking.

He shared that the director asked the actors about what they wanted to do as the character and not to worry about the camera. " Roshan also recalled asking a very important question to Akhtar before the filming. "I had a silent moment with him, I asked him what he wanted me be as the character.
