Generally speaking, most horror movies follow the bulletproof formula of having a group of unwitting victims face off against a terrifying, terrorising antagonist, until they (maybe) triumph over them. It's a genre schematic that's worked for decades and decades, yet every so often a horror film dares to toy with that convention by flipping the script and having the villain end up encountering someone or some thing that's just so, so much worse than themselves. And so, as a sequel to our recent article on the very subject, here are another 10 horror movie villains who, just their luck, stumbled across an even bigger sicko, freak, or force-of-nature.

You can call them mighty stupid or just incredibly unlucky, but the situation didn't go how any of these villains intended, finding themselves preyed upon by an unexpected character or force which, most of the time, condemned them to death. It's always fun to see skilled filmmakers playing with the established order of the horror genre, and in the case of these 10 movies, each dared to pull out the rug by pitting the villain against an even more nefarious entity..



. 10. Steven Wilkins - Trick 'R Treat In Michael Dougherty's terrific horror anthology Trick 'r Treat, school principal Steven Wilkins (Dylan Baker) works a second "job" on the side.

That is, he's a Halloween-loving serial killer who murders children who don't appreciate the spirit of the season. Oh, and because that's not bad enough, he's also grooming his young son Bill.
