THERE's nothing us Brits like more than ripping open a bag of sweets to get us over the midday hump. And we have lots to choose from, Wine Gums, Jelly Babies , Lemon Sherbets and of course, Haribo. But it turns out you've been opening the packets all wrong - and the correct way is blowing people's minds.

Too often we're caught ripping open the bag only for our precious sweets to fly everywhere - but not anymore. Thankfully, one social media user shared the right way to open them and it means you'll never have to worry about wasting your sweet treats again. This changes the world we live in Anna Antonje, from Germany , where Haribos also originate from, took to social media to share the clever hack she found.

After seeing the hack on social media she quite literally ran to the shop to grab a bag of the chewy sweets herself. Once home, she then tried the hack out for herself and was clearly stunned by just how easy it was. Instead of attempting to pull the sides of the packet apart, she took the small tab at the top, often used by shops to hang them.

She then pulled it down - and to her amazement the bag made a tidy tear all the way down. Anna said: "No way. I can't believe it.

"I can't believe it. What did I do my whole life? "This is so crazy. I love this hack.

" "Don't tell me you KNEW that???!!!" she captioned the post. The clip posted to her TikTok account @ anna.antonje has since gone viral with over 25 million views and 1.

9 million likes. People quickly took to the commen.
