Happy Meals, which typically come with a burger or chicken nuggets, along with french fries, a drink, and a toy, have been in existence since 1979. A 32-year-old UK-based woman says that she learned that Happy Meal boxes do more than transport meals and satisfy the cravings of young children. “32 years old and just finding out that Happy Meal boxes can be turned into a plate,” Kirsty (@kirstyfoxx) wrote in the caption of her TikTok video.

She used the horizontal perforations in the middle of the the box. She peeled off the scrap of the Happy Meal box, transforming it into two different parts — the top half and bottom half.



The bottom half was used as a makeshift tray. She dumped the food that was in the box into it. “Am I the last person on the planet to notice this,” she asked in the caption of the video.

Kirsty’s video, which amassed 9.9 million views, got a slew of comments. Just as it came as a shock to Kirsty, this was quite new information to some viewers.

“The way my almost 40 years old a-- just grabbed my keys to go get a Happy Meal. Because I just gotta see this,” one person wrote. “I worked there and I didn’t even know,” another person said.
