Tonight’s state dinner, the sixth hosted by the Biden administration, honors the Kenyan President William Ruto with an evening of culinary excellence and diplomatic celebration. The dinner will be held under the stars in a stunning pavilion made almost entirely of glass, creating an enchanting atmosphere as guests dine beneath the shared sky. First Lady Jill Biden expressed her hopes for the evening at a media briefing, saying, “As guests leave their path illuminated by our one moon, I hope they will be filled with the same warmth that I felt on my visits to Kenya — that of a friendship that will endure, helping create a shining and prosperous tomorrow.
