Speaking to the ITV today, presenter Cat Deeley said that one in four young adults enjoy a bite to eat on the toilet. This unsettling statistic prompted outrage among viewers and This Morning guests Vanessa Feltz and Tom Swarbrick, with the former saying the revelation had 'shocked her' to the 'core'.

'I'm absolutely horrified by this,' responded Vanessa. 'I'm flabbergasted by this. What kind of cannon of behaviour is this? What code of conduct does this adhere to?' She then continued: 'And also what parents or partners or even friends permit people into the lavatory - as that's what we should call it - with items of food to consume.
