A County Durham bar has garnered a mixed reaction after it announced its newest cocktail based on a viral TikTok meme. The Stables Bar in Beamish officially unveiled their current special cocktail, the 'Hawk Tuah' - based on a viral meme of the same name. The drink is a tropical concoction of pineapple and banana, topped with a real banana and whipped cream.

The video now has millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes online - and so far the bar has seen "huge success" with the new drink dreamed up by food and drink manager David Clark.



The bar said: "David is always coming up with new ideas for seasonal cocktails, and with the Hawk Tuah meme a huge trend right now, his cocktail expertise came in handy. "The cocktail started as a funny joke between the team, with a few probably thinking David’s idea was slightly mad, but after testing different flavours and perfecting its memorably eye-catching appearance, the Hawk Tuah was created! " Haliey, a rural Tennessee resident has since shot to fame following the meme and is reportedly in talks to start her own reality TV show and sign with talent agencies af.
