The $18 buys, which return each season in different colours because they are so popular, have 'inconsistent sizing'. The shopper, who is usually a size 12, purchased the skirt in green in 2023 opting for the size 16 option.
That skirt was a little large, so this year she bought a pink one in size 14 which does up but feels 'too tight'. Frustrated, the woman went in store and bought yet another of the skirts. This time she opted for a tan in size 16 which fit perfectly.
Posting to a popular Facebook page, the woman asked if anyone else had struggled with Kmart's sizing inconsistency. She also shared a photo of the three skirts which show the 'wild sizing', especially between the size 16 skirts which are noticeably mismatched. The woman said that while 'size doesn't matter' to her - she is just happy to have found one that is comfortable.
