At LAist we've spent the past several weeks searching for SoCal's favorite cheeseburger, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the cheeseburger . You've given us hundreds of suggestions and voted thousands of times.
We've whittled down the entries in the LAist Tournament of Cheeseburgers from the Burger Round of 32, to the Savory 16 , and last week, to the Tasty 8 contenders. It’s been week after week of intense competition — with ultra-passionate fans voting for their favorite spots, and taking to social media to lobby others to do the same. But now it's time for the final round.
And I’m thrilled to present to you the Flavorful 4, who will now vye for a chance to take home top honors at our event on July 7. It was a close, close count, with a handful of votes in some cases making the difference between moving on and staying put. Unfortunately, it also means we've had to let go of some crowd favorites.

Both businesses had waves of community support. We also bid farewell to worthy competitors Proudly Serving in Hermosa Beach and Hammer Burger in Santa Ana.
