For some reason, the breakfast-lunch combination seems to have fallen out of favor at many restaurants. We’d been eyeing the Rosewood Country Inn’s promise of Sunday brunch for some time and finally got the chance to check it out.

On Father’s Day, with all of us fatherless this year, we invited two dear friends to join us. The inn is a charming New England country inn, set off the beaten path in Bradford in the Sunapee region. The inn’s restaurant/catering/events business, Moments at the Rosewood, serves brunch from 9 a.



m. to noon on Sundays. We had made reservations, anticipating a crowd, so we were surprised to see several tables open in the cheerful dining room.

The friendly hostess welcomed us warmly and invited us to take our pick, so we chose a table near large windows overlooking the pond. Moments at the Rosewood is the restaurant, catering and events business at the Rosewood Country Inn in Bradford. Sunday brunch is open to the public from 9 a.

m. to noon. The buffet is set up in a side room.

Innkeeper Stan was just bringing in a fresh plate of homemade cinnamon rolls as we arrived to peruse the choices. Because it was Father’s Day, the brunch menu leaned heavily on meat: pulled pork, biscuits with sausage gravy, sausage, bacon, even a Swiss and ham frittata, as well as macaroni and cheese, baked beans, pancak.
