A much-loved community store has announced its closure after five years. Bunty's Two Doors Down - which is located on Prieston Road in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire - took to social media to reveal the sad news recently. In the post, the specialist food shop said despite recently moving to larger premises and its 'unwavering commitment to quality products', they 'cannot sustain the business without the necessary support'.

Bosses of the store are yet to reveal an official closing date for it, however, it will remain open until then. In the post, they said: "After much consideration, we regret to inform you that Bunty's, our beloved store serving the local community for five years, will be closing.



"Despite our recent move to larger premises and unwavering commitment to quality products, we cannot sustain the business without the necessary support. "We've faced challenges such as rising costs, parking issues, road closures, and Covid. "While the popularity and our recognition have been strong, that alone can't cover staff wages, supplier costs, and rent.

"Considering the current situation in the village, where numerous small businesses have already closed or are preparing to do so, we had to question whether there will be a demand for the services we provide. "Bunty'.
