: After drubbing in the Lok Sabha election, Maharashtra BJP has decided to constitute various committees to address the issues ahead of the Vidhan Sabha election. There will be a committee to counter the opposition's narratives. The party has also decided to finalise candidates early so that it does not face problems like Lok Sabha.

The party on Saturday held its core committee meeting at state headquarter in South Mumbai. The meeting, which went on for around four hours, was attended by BJP's Maharashtra election in-charge and Union minister Bhupendra Yadav, Maharashtra election co-in-charge and Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis among other senior leaders. A senior BJP leader, who attended the meeting, said that they discussed the road map for the assembly election so that they can remain in power.



“The party has decided to constitute multiple committees from selecting candidates to countering the false narratives of the MVA. In addition to this, the party also decided to form a separate committee to look into the issues of Marathas and OBCs,” he said. The senior BJP leader said that they are also planning to take the announcements made in the budget including the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme’, which is a cash allowance scheme for women, to the people.
