A MAN has revealed that he spotted a bargain buy in his local Co-op, so cleared the shelves. The savvy shopper was left beaming when browsing the freezer aisles in Co-op, when he noticed that classic Cornetto ice creams had been reduced. Thrilled with his finds, Harry Girling stocked up on the cheap treats, and took to social media to show others, leaving many totally stunned.

Posting on Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls , a private Facebook group with 195,900 members, Harry shared a snap of the freezer in Co-op, alongside a picture of his shopping basket, overflowing with the reduced finds. Alongside the post, Harry confirmed that he did indeed take the lot, as he penned: “Got all seven boxes left.” As a result of his huge haul, he beamed: “Summer sorted!” It’s no surprise that Harry was overjoyed with his haul, as a pack of six Cornetto ice creams were once £3.

50 each, but had since been slashed to just 88p a pack - yes, you heard that correctly. Harry’s haul should have cost him a jaw-dropping £24.50, but thanks to a saving of £2.

62 a pack, he spent just £6.16 in total. As a result, the ice cream fan saved a whopping £18.

34 overall. Harry’s post was shared just 11 hours ago, but it has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 253 likes and 72 comments. But social media users were left totally divided by Harry’s post.

Whilst some confessed that they too would have cleared the shelves, others accused him of being ‘greedy.
