Ever since a familiar Japanese “fast-steak” restaurant franchise was resurrected and a new branch opened at i-City Mall in Shah Alam near where we stay, my wife Jean and I have been going there regularly for their beef pepper rice. Then one day, she had a brilliant idea and said, “Why don’t we try to make this at home?“.
