A POLICE box in Glasgow will get a new lease of life as a local butter brand takes it over. Wee Knob of Butter - formerly called Oui Knob of Butter - is opening The Butter Box in the blue police box near to the entrance of Glasgow Botanic Gardens on Great Western Road. The boutique shop will sell their premium artisan butter and will also serve coffee which will be 50% off all weekend.

The Butter Box, which is brand is calling the "world's first", officially opens today (July 12) from 9am. In a post shared on Instagram, bosses said: "We can't wait to tell you more about what you'll find inside." Since its inception, the brand has garnered a devoted following thanks to its commitment to quality, affordability and local craftsmanship. As well as classic salted butter, the company also sells blends such as garlic and herb, sriracha and thyme and honey and cinnamon. Jules also owns Byres Road sandwicherie Le Petit Coq.

The police box on Great Western Road has previously been home to Mrs Falafel and West End Roasters..
