Father’s Day falls on June 16 this year, and if your dad is a foodie then the best way to spoil him is with a tasty meal. Whether he loves seafood, steaks or something sweet, restaurants in Hong Kong have all tastes catered for with special menus for the occasion. Here is a taste of what is on offer.

Grab a poolside table and enjoy the seafood at the renovated Fish Bar at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong in Admiralty on Hong Kong Island. Langoustine takes centre stage in June, and menu highlights include langoustine ceviche (HK$320/US$41) served with langoustine crisps, pistachio avocado purée, and melon and cucumber salsa, and langoustine risotto (HK$480) with courgette rolls and langoustine mousse. If you want to avoid the crowds and celebrate a few days later, dads can indulge in the Macallan Whisky Dinner at two-Michelin-star Lung King Heen in the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong on June 21.

Each dish is paired with a whisky that is explained by a Macallan whisky expert. Japanese restaurant Zoku, on the second floor of The Hari Hong Kong in Wan Chai, is serving a Father’s Day set dinner menu (from HK$688 per person) on June 14, 15 and 16 between 6pm and 10pm. This American steakhouse at the Rosewood Hong Kong hotel, under its new chef Jorge Vera Gutiérrez, is offering a Father’s Day lunch (HK$948) with an optional supplement of for two hours of free-flow alcoholic drinks (HK$588 per person) or non-alcoholic drinks (HK$188 per person).

Begin with a seafood platter loa.
