Want to get outside despite the heat? A new pop-up mini golf course in Eakins Oval in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art might just do the trick. Libertee Grounds, a locally owned restaurant, bar, and 18-hole indoor mini golf course, is bringing a new Philly-centered putt course to Eakins Oval this summer. “We’re excited to bring the fairways of Libertee Grounds to the Parkway this summer and be a part of this year’s exciting summer programming at Eakins Oval,” said Priyank Rambhia, co-founder of Libertee Grounds.
“Our courses are inspired by everything uniquely Philly: from famous fare to historical landmarks. With the Parkway as our muse for this installation, we designed a really fun course and we can’t wait to see people of all ages shooting their shots.” The seven-week pop-up begins on July 11 and is inspired by their courses’ signature niche nods to Philly plus odes to the Parkway District.
The new course includes homages to iconic landmarks, including the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Barnes Museum, Rodin Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The pop-up and mini golf course is family-friendly and open Thursday from 4-9 p.m.
, Friday 4-11 p.m., Saturday Noon-11 p.
