MONCKS CORNER — Anthony DiBernardo is thrilled about the newest Swig & Swine location and for good reason. The Moncks Corner restaurant offers a few amenities his others in Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, Summerville and Myrtle Beach do not — notably its waterfront views. That plus a 5,000-square-foot interior of “wide open barbecue space” has had patrons showing up in droves since Swig & Swine Moncks Corner opened May 18.
A fresh pulled pork sandwich is ready to be served. “It’s definitely on pace to be our busiest store yet,” DiBernardo said. The new restaurant’s menu is a near mirror image of the other destinations.
DiBernardo and his team are known across the Lowcountry for highlighting barbecue that’s cooked low and slow, pairing smoked turkey, prime beef brisket and smoked chicken wings with mac and cheese, corn pudding, hash and rice, and other sides. Moncks Corner does boast one item guests will only find there and in Myrtle Beach, where Swig & Swine recently opened on Broadway Street .
French fries — on the menu for the first time in the restaurant’s decade-long run — are paired with a burger at these two outposts. Made using brisket trimmings, the hearty handheld is available every day Swig & Swine is open. Right now, patrons can come by from 11 a.
