The two new additions to Taco Bell’s menu are available today. Well, technically, they were available on June 4, but only if you ordered them through the Taco Bell app. But now, the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and Big Cheez-It Tostada can be ordered at a drive-thru or in-store, without getting smartphones involved.

As you might guess by their names, both of the new curious menu items involve a Big Cheez-It – a large version of the regular Cheez-It cracker. Taco Bell is no stranger to teaming up with snack food companies for their products, as their past collaborations with Doritos prove. But are these new ones worth trying? Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme This Cruchwrap replaces a hard taco shell on the inside with the Big Cheez-It, but honestly I wouldn’t have known without being told.



A crunchwrap has a lot going on, so I didn’t see the Cheez-It, and it wasn’t any more crunchy than usual. However, I could definitely notice a heavier cheesy flavor, and this was gone in a few seconds as I pretty much inhaled the whole thing. Is it better than the regular crunchwrap? I don’t know if I’d say that.

But it’s still got taco meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream in a crunchy package, so I have no complaints. Grade: A Big Cheez-It Tostada Unfortunately, however delightfully cheesy the Big Cheez-It may be, it’s not a structurally sound base for a tostada. Every time I attempted to lift it up for a bite, the cracker crumbled apart in my hands.
