Article content FEELING SORRY FOR BIDEN I felt sorry for U.S. President Joe Biden, a hot topic all over the world and very worrisome for the Democratic party.

There’s plenty of debate about replacing him. In a similar fashion, after a byelection loss in Toronto, the Liberals are wondering what to do. The only difference is that, in the U.

S., it needs to be done urgently. I would prefer Pete Buttigieg as the Democrat nominee; he is well qualified and well spoken, and very young, and he would have huge followers.

Buttigieg-Harris would be a winning team. Here in Canada, I would say Sean Fraser, Marc Miller or Mélanie Joly as successors to Justin Trudeau, but we have time before the next election. There should not be second debate between Donald Trump and Biden; the first debate proved beyond reasonable doubt that they will never be friends.

ANANT NAGPUR OTTAWA POLITICIANS NOT LISTENING Re: Council OKs secret settlements over Stage 2 LRT construction, online, June 25 No sooner is there a spotlight on harassment and threats towards politicians then taxpayers hear about “secret deals” being made by the city. While I don’t condone violence towards anyone, politicians need to wake up and realize that it’s their decisions and policies that are a big reason for the frustration of taxpayers. Politicians are not listening.

According to the “motion,” details are not to be reported publicly because they relate to solicitor-client and settlement privilege. Interesting, seei.
