A woman went viral for staying up all night to make a dress for her friend's wedding Andrea Mangs (@ ) from Los Angeles raced against the clock to turn old curtains into an unrecognizable tiered maxi dress. The seamstress started by creating a corset and then got to work on the tiered skirt. She showed the sun come up outside before she showcased the final look—a mink-colored tiered maxi dress with a corset top.



In a follow-up video, she showed viewers exactly how she created the dress, with patterns and exact measurements. She explained she used various circle patterns all the way down to the floor to create the truffle effect. The fashionista used string, a tape measure, a compass, scissors, a pencil and a fabric marker.

She used the string to measure her waist and then put it against the tape measure to assess how wide the first tier needed to be. The seamstress then had to use math to work out the radius of the skirt. Mangs traced her skirt pattern onto muslin and used a compass to trace out a semi-circle and used a ruler to measure the length of each tier.
