Instagram influencer Archana Makwana found herself at the centre of backlash after she performed yoga in the premises of the Golden Temple, Amritsar. After her post on the social media platform went viral, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Saturday filed a police complaint against Makwana for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community. Makwana alleged that despite apologising, she has been repeatedly receiving death threats.

She said that she went to Delhi on June 19 where she received an award for her contributions in yoga and wellness, and that she wanted to visit the Golden Temple on the way to express her gratitude.
