Perhaps we can all agree that some things are best kept under wraps, especially one’s underwear. The City Museum in , disagrees. They got the town’s residents to wear underwear on their head for a minute, setting a Guinness World Record.

What might seem like a normal day for the museum commonly known for its “quirky, artist-built playground”, was actually an effort to commemorate the date March 14, which is a nod to the town’s pin code, 314. ADVERTISEMENT Katy Enrique, director of sales and marketing at the museum told the media that the idea originated from one of the museum’s most notable pieces—the with a 16-foot waistband, which hangs in their Beatnik Bob’s Café. “The giant underwear is an icon that guests try to find on their journey, and they take tons of photos with the underwear,” she said.



The giant underwear was created in 1996 by St. Louis-based artists Pat Eby and Ann Paidrick. However, it must be noted that these underpants are not the largest in the world.

That accolade goes to Cottonil in Egypt with an 82-foot waistband. But this museum has its fair share of , and even hosted a travelling exhibit called the “Science of Guinness World Records” earlier this year. And they just set their fifth one.
