GOODWILL shoppers have been noticing prices get higher at the discount store. Some are taking to social media to vent their price concerns at the chain. The company is known for selling cheap goods, especially clothes.

However, inflation has impacted even the secondhand market. Now, fans are airing their grievances about prices and quality at the chain. Several X users have shared their views on the store’s selection.

“the prices at my local goodwill have skyrocketed so high that it’s like shopping at a regular department store now,” one user claimed. “Genuinely ridiculous.” “They’re selling a used shirt for 15 dollars when you could go to walmart and get one for 3 instead,” they said.

Another user commented on the quality of Goodwill clothing. “Goodwill full of Shein what’s the point of living anymore,” they said. Asian fast fashion manufacturer Shein is known for its cheap but flimsy clothing.

Yet even the proliferation of Shein hasn’t quelled customer concerns about price. “They’re literally charging more for secondhand Shein than it is new,” the user claimed. Another found a group to blame for the change in prices.

“I blame resellers and influencers who buy all the vintage clothes just to resell them again at a higher price,” they said. One commented offered advice. “Goodwill was never the first choice anyways tbh.

..no name thrift stores w cheap prices are what I grew up on,” they said.
