Students from the University of Chester met a star from BBC's The Apprentice, during a visit to Scotland. The trip to Edinburgh was organised by the University of Chester Business School as part of its Enterprise Development Programme. The trip, termed by students as "life changing", "inspiring", and "motivating", aimed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The participants, who had an array of business ideas ranging from sports and counselling to fashion and pets, took advantage of the trip to network and gain hands-on experience to elevate their businesses. The programme was developed by Chester Business School in collaboration with the Venture Programme and Santander Universities, with the intention of equipping new entrepreneurs with the tools and insights they need to launch and develop their enterprises successfully. Among the activities organised over the four days, the students visited the historic Edinburgh Castle, participated in a design thinking workshop at The Melting Pot Edinburgh, learned about market research with PivotLab Ltd, and benefited from a workshop conducted by Lewis Ellis, University of Chester MSc Marketing Management graduate and former candidate on The Apprentice.
