A Surrey town is hosting a huge festival open to all, with dancing in the street, complimentary bubbles and fashion shows. Weybridge is set to welcome thousands of people, as the town comes together to celebrate everything it has to offer. The High Street has recently transformed with the opening unique new shops, cafes and restaurants.
This includes a relaxing pilates studio, One Pilates, Cavan Bakery and eclectic gift shop, Lark. And it will all come alive during this incredible Weybridge Street party. The festival is a week long event, kicking off at D'Oyly Carte Island on Friday, June 14, with live music taking place on the island throughout the weekend.
Throughout the rest of the week, there will be church choirs, pub quizzes, sunrise yoga and fun runs, as well as the street party on Saturday, June 22. Organiser Julia Lowrie said: " It’s unique to have a street party like this. We're seeing a boost on the High Street and it will be great to get our place to feel vibrant again.
We really just want to get Weybridge buzzing with everyone dancing in the streets." In terms of what to expect, Monument Green is set to be the hub of the festival on Saturday June 22, with live music and cocktails served by The Ship Hotel. Live music will be performed by 217 band with the Rock Choir.
Dancing with REDZ and Weybridge Salsa will be taking place too. Queens Head pub is holding gin tasting, and Bar 39 will be playing live music. READ MORE: The pretty but little-known rooftop bar abov.
